Gas payments fall because of captured Regional State Administrations in western Ukraine
Level of payments for gas decreased due to the capture of Regional State Administrations in western Ukraine, said Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko during today’s visit to Turboatom.
“In the last 2 months we stopped receiving payments for gas, especially from the regions where today the authority has been “removed” in favour of People's Councils. We have virtually no money from there. Only in January, debt for gas increased by UAH 4 billion, which, of course, puts “Naftogaz Ukrainy” in a difficult position in terms of settlements with Russian partners. Now we are working on this problem, and it is important for those leading regional administrations in western Ukraine to understand that the time will come when you will need to pay,” he said.
