Ukrainian boy made the Google logo
On February 6, instead of the usual Google logo, Ukrainians have seen a picture of a boy of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytsky. The author of a work is a nine-year-old pupil of school № 7 Roman Barabash. The work is named «Ukraine of my dreams is a rich and independent state, where every family in the town or village, feel free and protected». Roman Barabash has got a set of art means from the organizers of the project. His school will receive a grant of UAH 50 thousand for modernization.
The logo contest «Ukraine of my dreams» received more than 10 thousand drawings of children from 5 to 17 years. All participants were divided into the following age groups: 5 — 9 years 10 — 13 years 14 — 17 years. Judges in the competition became a musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, athlete Ekaterina Serebryanskaya, the publisher Ivan Malkovych, book graphic artist Vladislav Erko, master of sand animation Kseniya Simonova and artist Evgenia Gapchinska. They selected 15 best works.
The final round was Internet voting, where people gave preference to Barabash’s drawing.
