Only 30% of the local budgets were adopted in Ukraine
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, as of January 31, 2014 only 29.3 per cent of the local budgets are adopted in Ukraine.
"The largest number of budgets was approved in Kiev (99.9 %), Sumy (97 %), Odessa (94.2%), Poltava (86.4 %) regions, and in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (86%)," the message stated. Moreover, currently 487 out of 694 local budgets, which have a direct inter-budgetary relations with the state budget, with the deadline for approval before February 3 were approved (that is 70.2 %).
In particular, the budget of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and 15 (62.5 %) regional budgets were approved, specifically, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomir, Zhaporozhye, Kiev, Kirovograd, Lugansk, Nikolayev, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Kherson, Cherkassy and Chernigov regions. The city budget of Sevastopol, 138 (77.1 %) city budgets of the cities and towns of republican and regional importance, as well as 332 (68 %) district budgets were approved.
The budget of the country was adopted on January 16. On January 17 President Viktor Yanukovych signed the document.
