Seizure of Regional Administrations may result in no budgetary aid for the farmers — the Ministry of Agriculture
Seizure of a number of Regional State Administrations means that documents and electronic databases inside the buildings remain inaccessible. This means that Ukrainian farmers are left without aid from the state budget for an indefinite period.
“RSA blockings may disrupt aid to the farmers amounting to nearly UAH 28 million. These funds are budgeted for 2014, but the farmers cannot get them. For the same reason, if by February 3 necessary documents will not be provided to the State Treasury, there may be delays in salaries and scholarships for students of agricultural universities. To avoid such a situation, the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture will work even on weekends,” said Acting Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk on “Rada” TV channel.
The seizures also threaten financing of for livestock programs, as it is currently impossible to provide budget funds to the regions for such subsidies.
“For example, almost 500,000 villagers receive, in particular, subsidies for the protection and feeding of calves. Due to RSA blockades, it is impossible to collect and process the applications,” laments Prisyazhnyuk.
