Svoboda party banned in Crimea
Svoboda party and other radical organizations are banned in Crimea. The corresponding decision was made by the Presidium of the Supreme Council of Crimea on January 27.
As noted in the decision, the opposition seized power in 10 regions; radical militants continue their attempts to storm and capture administrative buildings. Notably, “Svoboda party and other radical formations are the active participants of all the riots and anti-constitutional actions”.
In this regard, the Presidium of the Supreme Council of ARC decided to ban on the territory of Crimea the activities and symbolism of “Svoboda” party and other formations of an extremist nature, through due legal proceedings, as they pose a threat to national accord, public safety and law and order.
