Community organisations and labour groups to keep public order in Kharkov region
On today’s briefing in the RSA, Governor Mikhail Dobkin said that they developed a plan of action for Kharkov region to ensure public order. To maximize the work in this direction, the authorities plan to attract community organisations, labour groups and local residents wishing to help. This will be done exclusively based on existing legislation.
“We will work on the basis of legislation on units for maintaining the public order. Today, there are clear rules that establish how such units are formed and their operating principles. For example, according to the statutes of many Cossack organisations, they are allowed to create public order protection units jointly with the police. Plus, we have statements of almost all major labour groups at Kharkov factories about creating units for the protection of public order. This is another legitimate way,” said Mikhail Dobkin.
