The number of victims among the law enforcement officers increased to 195 people
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) informed that the number of law enforcement officers, injured during the clashes in Hrushevskogo Street in Kiev increased to 195 people. 84 of them were hospitalized.
The victims were diagnosed with closed traumatic brain injuries, fractures, burns, stab and slash wounds and poisoning with unknown substances.
On January 19 the participants of the rally on Maidan Nezalejnosti engaged in open confrontation with the law enforcement officers, at whom they were throwing stones, petards and burning fusees. As a result of clashes, the protesters burned down several buses of the MVD and military vehicle Ural. The law enforcement officers replied by using noise grenades, tear gas and water cannons. The confrontation is ongoing.
