The secret of the SMS, which was sent to the activists of Maidan, is disclosed
The SMS which says "You are registered as a participant of mass disturbances" turned out to be fake. The mobile operators and power structures have nothing to do with them. Any mediocre graduate of Kiev Polytechnic University may send similar SMS on a mass scale.
A lot of mass media with the reference to obscure sources distributed information that Ukrainian mobile operators send strange SMS to subscribers. The legends are built and the versions are advanced. The mobile operators already stated that they were not related to this mass distribution of the SMS. Similar to this, the malefactors sent SMS like "You won a car. Send out 10 UAH."
The magazine Correspondent posted on its website the master-class called "Make a fake by yourself", which demonstrated that such SMS could be sent by any student of a technical university.
The author draws attention that only two or three identical photos of the provocative SMS are spread in the Internet. Such SMS may be easily created and sent via the Internet, taking the addresses from a list of contacts in social networks.
"It is done very simply. You may rename a person from the list of contacts into MTS or Kyivstar or Yanukovych," the author of the experiment states, "Then you get a terrible SMS and then make a call to the Left Bank, to the Ukrainian Truth or to the 5th Channel, and ... here it goes, the sensation is ready.
