Priests stopped clashes in Kiev
Four priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) stopped the clashes between riot police and protesters against the government on Hrushevskoho Street in Kiev.
The priests placed themselves between the opposing sides and began to read prayers, calling for the end of the conflict, writes "Ukrainian News” newspaper.
Actions on both sides were stopped. The protesters came out from behind the barricades and are at present some 20 meters from the police cordon.
At this time, the police warns the protesters through loudspeakers that their actions are illegal, and they regard the clashes as infringement on life of the police officers.
