The European deputy: the opposition should call on people to leave Maidan
The deputy of the European Parliament from Poland Marek Sivets while giving comments to the TV channel BTB told that the Ukrainian opposition should call on people to leave Euromaidan and to begin peaceful negotiations with the authorities.
According to him, the opposition loses its authority and does not have control of the protesters, who make radical steps and need a leader.
Sivets is confident that the situation that happened in Hrushevskogo Street is not a provocation, but a regular outcome of the actions of the opposition. He does not believe that several hundred people come out of nowhere and began to attack the police: the attack was carried out by instructions of the leaders of the opposition in order to increase the level of tension in the society.
"In this difficult situation the opposition should call on people to leave Maidan and to begin peaceful negotiations with the authorities," the member of the European Parliament said and added, "It is simply dangerous to continue further confrontation with the riot police."
