The USA prepares sanctions against Zakharchenko and Klyuev
Next Wednesday, on October 15, extraordinary hearings "Consequences of the crisis in Ukraine", which are second hearings about Ukraine during the last two months, are scheduled to take place in the US Senate.
The Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Melia and the former National Security Advisor to the President of the USA Zbigniew Brzezinski are among the announced speakers.
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Bob Menendez, who had a meeting with Ukrainian diaspora in New Jersey las week, plans to personally conduct the hearings.
The representatives of diaspora called on the White House to introduce sanctions against the Ukrainian officials, specifically, the secretary of the Security Council Andrey Klyuev and the Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Zakharchenko.
Moreover, the representatives of diaspora mentioned the chairman of Kharkov Regional State Administration Mikhail Dobkin and Kharkov mayor Gennady Kernes, who were, in their opinion, privy to reprisal against Euromaidan activists.
