Kharkov mayor scoffed at the beaten people's deputy Ilenko
The Chair of Kharkov Regional State Administration Mikhail Dobkin posted on his web page in Twitter a photo of the people's deputy of Svoboda Andrey Ilenko, who was beaten on January 3 in Kiev. Ilenko is covered with blood in the photo. Kharkov Mayor added the inscription "Hitler Kaput" and wrote the following comment: "It is a sin to laugh at sick people ... but I cannot help laughing."
On January 1 in the heart of Kiev the torch procession to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the birth of Stepan Bandera was held. On the video, published in the Internet, one can see that some of the participants of the procession threw the fusees into the building of the Premier Palace Hotel. The law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on the fact of hooligan actions of the participants of the procession according to part 1 of the article 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).
The representatives of Svoboda stated that the incident was a provocation. After the incident two members, whose names are not disclosed, were excluded from the party.
In the evening of January 3 the people’s deputy Andrey Ilenko and the lawyer Sidor Kizin, who were returning from the interrogation regarding the above mentioned case, were beaten at Proreznaya Street.
According to Oleg Tyagnubok, Ilenko was diagnosed concussion of the brain and numerous bruises, while Kizin received an avulsed wound of the cheek, which was stitched. The police classified this incident as hooliganism according to part 2 of the article 296 of the Criminal Code.
