Medvedev: loan to Ukraine is beneficial for Russia
Thanks to the credit, Russia will be able to restore trade relations with Ukraine and to get a more effective partner, said country’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"As a result of credit to Ukraine, Russia will get more effective partner who can restore not only its economy but also our economic and trade relations," said Medvedev on Friday on his Facebook page.
On December 17, at the meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission chaired by the
Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Viktor Yanukovych signed a contract on Russia’s purchase of $15 billion Ukrainian Eurobonds. First 3 billion have already been received by Ukraine.
