Azarov to Medvedev: Ukraine wants to completely restore the trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation
On December 24 during the meeting with the Russian colleague Dmitriy Medvedev the Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov said that in 2014 Ukraine intended to completely restore the trade and economic relations with Russia.
According to the message of the department of information and communications with the public of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Azarov also expressed the hope that the next year the commodity turnover between Ukraine and Russia could reach at least the level of 2011. “It is very important for us because it translates in the working places and the incomes to the budget,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister told.
“We need to reanimate what was, regretfully, lost recently,” Medvedev told in his turn, having remarked that for the first time during the post Soviet history the trade and economic relations of Russia with Belarus were on the first place, leaving Ukraine behind.
