Putin helped Ukraine only because of the brotherly intentions
The Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 19 informed the journalists that the Russian Federation provided Ukraine the material assistance in the amount of $15 billion, and reduced the price for gas because Ukraine is a brotherly nation, which got into a difficult situation.
According to his words, Russia could not but help Ukraine, which got into a difficult economical, social and political situation. He also noted that the agreements, signed with Ukraine, are directed at the interests of the brotherly nation and not at the ones of the government of the country.
“We have to act as close relatives and to support the brotherly nation. This is the main reason of why we made this decision,” the Russian President said, “Not for the benefit of the government, but for the benefit of the brotherly nation.”
