In Poland the issue of overcoming the political blockade in Kiev will be discussed at the meeting of the leaders of Poland and Germany. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the new Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, will meet the Polish Minister for Foreign Affairs Radoslav Sikorski and the President of the Republic Bronisław Komorowski on December 19.
The agenda is the results of Polish and German cooperation. Among the topics for discussion will be the demands, which were made by the EU to Ukraine. “Does not Brussels demand too much from Kiev, which found itself between the West and the East?” the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany asks.
“Together with Polish colleagues, who are more aware of the Ukrainian internal political situation, we will invent the way how to stop the political blockade in Kiev,” Steinmeier declares.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, assumed the position of the Minister for Foreign Affairs on December 17.
