8,000 activists came to the rally in support of the President of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk
About 8,000 people participated in the rally in support of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, which took place in Dnepropetrovsk.
The Head of Dnepropetrovsk Region Dmitry Kolesnikov, while speaking in front of the people, noted that Ukraine should not only strive for the integration into the European society but also strengthen economical relations with the CIS countries, including Russia.
The Head of the region has stressed that the residents of the region support the political course of the President and the Government, which is directed at stabilizing political and economic situation in Ukraine. However, today the oppositional forces interfere with achievement of this goal. One of the major problems for today is the absence of the state budget for the coming year. This may result in delays of salaries, pensions and various social allowances for the population.
“For Dnepropetrovsk region the absence of the budget means hampering of the development of the region and the threat of failure of important regional programs. We should say yes to the European integration of Ukraine, but at the same time we resolutely say no to the destruction of the economic ties with our long-standing partners: the Russian Federation and the CIS countries. The restoration of the cooperation with the partners is first priority task for all the industrial companies of the region,” Kolesnikov said.
The representatives of the companies and the organizations of the region, public and youth organizations participated in the event.
