Hungarians of Ukraine cannot use the law on the regional languages
Hungarians residing in Zakarpatskaya region experience difficulties with studying in their own language.
According to the First Secretary of the Embassy of Hungary in Ukraine Timea Vayon, there are not enough teachers of Hungarian language and the necessary handbooks are not available as well, while import of handbooks from Hungary to Ukraine is banned.
The diplomat mentioned that as of today around 150 thousand Hungarians, the issue of protection of whose rights and liberties is actual for Hungary, reside in Zakarpatye. According to the head of the faction of the Party of Regions in Verhkovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Efremov, earlier Hungary and Romania have announced territorial claims to Ukraine.
"We must always be aware of the problems which are going on in these territories and solve the problems as they arrive," said Efremov.
