Ukrainian delegation flies to Brussels
Today Ukrainian government delegation will hold a meeting in Brussels with European Commissioner Stefan Fule.
“Today the government delegation will fly to Brussels for talks on stages of preparation and implementation of the European integration road map. The main meeting will be with Stefan Fule, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy,” says the press office of the Ukrainian government.
According to the press office, the delegation, headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Arbuzov, includes Minister of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine Alexander Klimenko, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Igor Prassolov, Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov and the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Igor Sorkin.
Today the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Ukraine, condemning the use of force against EuroMaidan, expressing its readiness to sign the EU-Ukraine association agreement and informing that it is ready to provide financial assistance to Ukraine.
On November 21 the Ukrainian government announced suspension of preparation for signing of the agreement. Subsequently the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych put this down to Russian pressure.
