The Government of Ukraine has approved a memorandum on Kerch Bridge
On today’s Cabinet of Ministers meeting the Government of Ukraine has approved a memorandum on joint actions for organization of aconstruction project for a transport link over the Kerch Strait.
The Memorandum is one of many documents prepared by the Government for a meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission scheduled for December 17.
According to the Crimean state investment portal, the total project cost is $1.7 billion, the expected volume of cargo — 120 million tons a year, passenger traffic — 15 million people a year.
The Cabinet approved the delegation for talks with Russia on this issue back in November. The delegation will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vilkul.
Earlier, Prime Minister Azarov asked the EU 20 billion euros for investments in joint infrastructure projects. These included the creation of a new transport corridor to Caucasus, including a transport link over the Kerch Strait.
